David was first introduced to Employment Law at Lancaster University in 1994 and was hooked by the speed of change and the variety – everything involves people, everyone is different and no two cases are the same.

David qualified into the London Employment Team of Pinsent Masons in 2000 and spent over a decade working in-house at The Carphone Warehouse, combining employment law with HR Director roles across Employee Relations, Reward and International HR.

In 2015 David set up his own firm, aimed at providing an “in-house” service to clients that don’t have the scale to require a full-time employment lawyer.

David works alongside many former colleagues, supplementing legal teams and HR functions, providing practical and pragmatic advice across a range of industries.

Growing up in Yorkshire in the 80s and 90s, David saw people, businesses and communities impacted by change and the importance of being able to stand up to and respond to that change.
